Its hard to share strategic plan examples because there is often sensitive, confidential information included inĀ each document.
When I work on strategic plans and content strategies, I focus on research, communication, opportunities for innovation, collaboration, as well as celebration when milestones are reached – both in planning and delivery phases.
Components, I like to see in a strategic plan include the following (they don’t always go in a linear order):
- Understand the Customer Journey (how/does this program fit what the customer needs)
- Identify Competitive Advantages
- Develop Objectives/Goals
- Create Positioning Statements/Branding Messages
- Refine Outreach/Content Strategies
- Role Out Program/Tactics
- Review/Evaluate Report
- Repeat
